Production Manager - Call-Out

We are looking for a Production Manager to work with us on Bright Places which will be touring from 26 September until 31 October 2026.

About the Role

Fee: £1,500 (based on a predicted 6 days at £250/day)

Ideal State Date: 3 August 2026

Rehearsals: 7 - 25 Sept 2026 in Birmingham

Tech & Open: 24-25 Sept in Birmingham TBC & 26 Sept 2026 in Nottingham

We are looking for a Production Manager to work with us on the 2026 tour of Bright Places by Rae Mainwaring. The production had an initial tour in 2024 and will return this year with a new Director to create an updated version. A focus for this role will be to ensure the Creative Captioning is implemented effectively in each venue.


Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the Designers have accurate information about all touring venues and the designs can be implemented across all touring venues, with a priority on venue projector specs and creative captioning set-up

  • Preparing all documentation including Production Schedules, Risk Assessments, Technical Riders, Stage and Lighting Plans

  • Managing and collaborating with the creative team to ensure design deadlines are met and all production elements are ready for opening

  • Liaising with touring venues to ensure they receive all required documentation and pre-performance information

  • Managing touring logistics and handing over to the touring Stage Management team

  • Support the touring Stage Management team (Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager) as needed
