MISSION ABORT

One in three women in the UK will at some point choose to terminate a pregnancy. Worldwide, the number is one in four. Mission Abort is the important story about the human being behind the choice.

Performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017, Mission Abort looks at the strong opinions on the legislation around female reproductive rights which are voiced on a daily basis; Mission Abort “breaks the taboo around abortion with flair and gusto” (★★★★ Edinburgh Festivals Magazine) by telling the story of one woman’s actual experience – from discovering she is pregnant, to making the decision, following it through and getting on with life afterwards.

Described by The Stage as “a frank and funny glimpse into the head-spinning, hormonal, harrowing experience of having an abortion” (★★★★ The Stage), this explosive one-woman play invites the audience along for a laugh-cry rollercoaster journey – asking the big question: how can a choice that is so right be so hard?
