Under 2s Sensory Sounds in Nature (Corby)

  • Kingswood Neighbourhood Centre Main Hall Corby NN18 9HB UK (map)

My Sensory Adventures sessions are for the whole family and are wonderful for children who like to explore the world in sensory ways. The sensory activities are great for lots of different people including babies/early years, children with special educational needs, people with complex needs, children with profound and multiple learning disabilities, and autistic children.

Sounds in Nature

In these sessions, we be bring the outside in and co-create exciting new work with composers. We'll be creating new musical pieces together through the sensory exploration of nature's sounds, smells, textures, sights and feelings.

Sessions are free, with donations welcome 💕

There are two drop-in sessions for under 2s. Book here for the 10am sessions on the 18th and 25th of August. They will be led by Leicestershire-based professional pianist and founder of Babygigs, Eleanor Hodgkinson. Join us to get creative, build confidence, and have a really rewarding experience in a lovely welcoming environment.

Wednesday 18th August & Wednesday 25rd August, 10-11am – Kingswood Neighbourhood Centre

We are thrilled to be running these sessions in partnership with Kingswood Neighbourhood Centre. The session will be in the Main Hall.

Please book 1 space as a family and/or bubble - we are keeping all stations separate and distanced so have space for 10 families per session so please do book in advance. Please let us know who is coming and what their needs might be - any information to make sure we can create the best environment for everyone to enjoy and feel comfortable.

Carbon Theatre

We are a Kettering-based company creating theatre and cultural projects. We started My Sensory Adventures throughout the 2020 lockdown to provide local families with free sensory packs and lots of digital resources.

Our first four themes were Water, Earth, Wind and Fire (you can see them by clicking here) and through the summer, we are thrilled to be exploring Maps in four different ways: Contours, Symbols, Direction and Scale. All our activities have Messy & Taste-Safe and Non-Messy options to suit different sensory preferences.

We are thrilled to be doing in-person sessions again. We hope you'll come and explore with us!
